I wanted to see if these .45 Hornady 240gr jacketed slugs in .50 sabots were receiving a proper spin from a rifled barrel. I simply painted a marker on the backs of the rounds and used a high speed camera to record the spin and some simple math to get numbers out of it. The gun used is a Sam Yang Dragon Claw .50 air rifle, which fired these at an estimated 550 FPS. Through this footage, they seem to be spinning at around 230 revolutions per second on average. Thanks for watching!
